Well, it couldn’t be worse than some of the other candidates, could it?! AMC Networks, an American telly production company, has put together a viral campaign promoting the candidate A. Zombie’s run for the presidency in the upcoming US election.
Why would a tv production company do such a thing you may ask? Well, it turns out that AMC are cleverly harnessing the power of viral marketing to stage a protest against DISH, a US satellite television broadcaster, after their decision to drop AMC Network channels. Thus effectively cutting off all their subscribers from AMC’s stable of programmes including hits like Mad Men and Breaking Bad.
So where does the zombie come into it then? Well, one of AMC’s biggest telly hits just happens to be the post-zombie apocalypse thriller The Walking Dead. So the network is encouraging viewers to vote for their zombie presidential candidate, on his platform of equal zombie viewing opportunities for all.
