Just For Fun was established in
1974 by brothers Geoffrey and Peter Richards, who were joint
proprietors of the company for over 25 years before the company
went Limited in 2004. Just For Fun (UK) Ltd is still much the
successful family business it was, now with two company directors,
Peter and Geoffrey.
Just For Fun was Southampton's first
party and fancy dress shop, starting off in the Six Dials on
the older parts of the town. The company has grown considerably
since those days, and there are now 4 branches in the Hampshire area
with a succesful Mail Order department.
Just For Fun (UK) Ltd has recently
completed its biggest and most exciting project yet at Hedge
End, where Just For Fun boasts a bigger than ever mail order
department, retail and trade store and main distribution centre.
The company's head office is now based in Hedge End, bringing
all administration and company development staff together to
move the company forward at even greater pace.
The company continues to advance with
regards to the shops themselves and our product range. Just
For Fun is always aiming to bring it's customers exactly what
they need and that is why it's product range is ever evolving
and expanding.

location in Queensway, Southampton.

1987:
Just For Fun's second branch
opened in the High Street Eastleigh.

moved to an improved location in Leigh Road.

In May of 1998, Just For Fun
Southampton doubled in size - it's first expansion in over
15 years, giving over half the shop to its increasingly popular
Fancy Dress hire service. Just For Fun's popularity
continued to increase, and soon is was time to expand again...

1999:
In March 1999, Just For Fun
Southampton expanded for the second time, to accommodate
its growing product range, and customer popularity. This
expansion meant a greater range of party products, and even
more Fancy Dress hire costumes.
Just For Fun.co.uk was also
growing in popularity, and steps were taken to accommodate
for the increasing number of mail orders.
Just
For Fun.co.uk 2000-2002:
Just For Fun's website and online
service (known as Just For Fun.co.uk), expanded to accommodate
international orders, in the first half of 2000. Now,
we deliver worldwide, supplying our service to customers
from all corners of the world.
Just For Fun has changed it's
corporate image - the new exclamation logo is now being implemented
throughout the company. We feel it represents the business
with it's stunning range of products and services - that
surprise and excite!
Just
For Fun Winchester 2001:
Just For Fun opens it's third
branch in Winchester. The shop offers a great range
of fancy dress and party products to the region of Winchester
- greatly welcomed to the area!
Just
For Fun in 2004
Just For Fun received Limited
status early 2004 owing to increased turnover and recent
company success. The company is now known as Just For Fun
(UK) Ltd.
Just
For Fun "Hedge End"
Just For Fun's biggest project
yet is underway, a huge new warehouse and retail outlet in
Hedge End Trade Park (just outside Southampton) offering
great new distribution facilities for our growing Mail Order
department, and an extension of our retails shops.
Just For Fun (UK) Ltd now plans
to increase it's product range to offer our customers the
best choice in party supplies and fancy dress.
Record sales in 2004 have given
confidence for a growing company, which still bases it's core
values on excellent customer service and a diverse and high
quality product range.
